Back from Hiatus

After thinking long and hard, with much hesitation, I finally decided "what the hell" and break my way into adult entertainment, through camming. This small sector of the adult industry has blown up into an industry almost all its own.

I don't really have a desire to be a porn star or incredibly famous. However, my Moon is in Leo and it creates a undying need for attention, rendering me a borderline narcissist. More on that later.

Day 1,

Okay, so it's not really my first day. I was at this about a year ago, April 2018. But as my life grew increasingly chaotic it fell on the back burner. What all of the "how to" posts tell you is true - Cam requires time, dedication, and self-discipline (time management > edging). After the Holidays let up this past season I've decided to give it another go, and it's been great! I still had my modest 500 followers (most camgirls have thousands, if not tens of thousands) I'd gathered on Chaturbate.

However traffic has been slower than what I was used to seeing in my room prior to my hiatus. Totally understandable. Also, keep in mind that when you first sign up on Chaturbate you are given #newmodel status and THIS. IS. GOLD. The first time I decided to hit "Broadcast Yourself" I had 200 paying members in my room! This... was not the case when logging back in in January. It's difficult to get more than 30 members in my room, paying or not. Yikes.

Alright. Time to get creative.

I signed up for MFC (MyFreeCams.com). I've had my eye on this site for a long time. All the camgirls praise it and claim it's the most model-friendly token site out there. I figured I'd try it out, and worst case gain some momentum and reach new potential customers.

I like MFC. I really enjoy their broadcasting system (Check out my post detailing MFC vs. Chaturbate here!). I like how easy it is to customize my profile with the limited Myspace coding I got by with when I was 15. The profile is very Myspace-esque, which kind of gives it a fun nostalgia for me. That was my era, man! You can even open all of your PMs in a separate window which is helpful if you either A) have a lot of PMs to keep track of and respond to or B) want to ignore all of the cheapskates trying to PM w/o tip, even though it CLEARLY states in your rules, whiteboard, and every-goddam-where-else that PMs are 10 tokens.

MFC's #newmodel status did not treat me as well as 200 members, but we still had a great time! It was a fun first show, lots of friendly (and very horny) men complimented me, and they tipped to see my bod. And I got to please myself and get paid for it. Not bad for a night in my bedroom! My first night on MFC I made just $15. Yesterday, 2/22, my 8th time live-streaming on MFC, I made $52.00 in just one hour. So, things are on the up and up!

As long as I'm making more in an hour than I do my day job, I'm happy. If I make Goal (600 tokens) in the first hour, I feel very motivated to continue to cam. I noticed that if my room is not lively after the first hour I feel that it's not worth it, but I need to remind myself it is! $52.00/hr beats any job. Stripper Web has an awesome thread under Cam Connections called "The Stay the Fuck On! Thread!" and reading through it works as a great reminder.

Alrighty then!

This blog will include lots of observation about camming. Hopefully a little more lively than "dear diary..." but you know what, I'm a fan of the journal format so, yeah. That's mostly it. And rambling. And info for novice camppls.

Okay Bye!
